Thank God I Went To See Passion Pit

After working all weekend, not getting much sleep and watching an over-saddend love story in The Time Traveler's Wife, the option to run down the road to First Ave and catch Passion Pit seemed like more of an annoyance than a fantasitic evening. Having to find parking downtown, making sure I talk to the right door people, coming late and not getting a good view and hanging out with Sunday Funday Drunks all seemed like justifiable reasons not to go see the show and rest my tired ass at home. But the fear of regret proved to be persuasive. I applaud its effort.

Parking was a breeze, I was welcomed at the door, I found an excellent spot along the rail on the second floor (douchebag free) and didn't miss a single song. They ended their set with "Little Secrets" (Favorite) and ended the encore with "Sleepyhead" (Favorite). They even did a cover of "Dreams" by The Cranberries. It made me smile.

To make the evening even better, a First Ave tribute video was shown before the show celebrating The Legendary Venue's 40th Birthday. Video included Shot Outs and birthday wishes to First Ave by the likes of Solid Gold (from the road), Craig Finn from the Hold Steady, P.O.S. (in the airport), Slug, Mason Jennings, El Vez and Brother Ali. Tapes 'n' Tapes sang a birthday song.

Now for the Camera
